Ingredients

  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg

Note: If you plan to add candied or dried fruits, soak them briefly in warm water, juice, or a spirit of your choice before folding into the batter to keep the cake moist and evenly textured.
